Patience pays

Once upon a time, there lived a farmer and his wife in a village called Kwamang. The name of the farmer was Peace and his wife was also called Love. They were hard working but could not make it in life. One day, the Peace told Love that he had heard of about a job. He left his wife and went for the job.

He worked for 23 years without coming home. On the 23rd year he told his master that he must go home and see his family, his master gave him his money but told him that he had an advice for him. The advice was not for free so he had to pay for it.

He accepted to pay for the advice and the advice amounted to his total payment.

The first advice was; he must not jump over any water he meet on the way, the second was that, he must not come out when he hears someone screaming at night. The last advice was, he must not act when angry.

He payed with all that he had and was given a loaf of bread and a machete. He set of, within an hour he saw a stream. He was about to jump and he remembered the first advice. He stopped and walked through. The stream begun to widen and he was happy he payed for that advice.

He reached a motel at the night and pleaded for a room. In the night he heard screaming, but  because he remembered the second advice and stayed inside. The next morning when he was about to set of the owner told him how lucky he was because he would have been dead by now.

He reached his town in the evening and asked for where his wife, Love was staying. He saw love with a handsome man and was about to strike him with the machete but remembered the third advice. His wife later introduced the man to him as his son.

When they met, he told them his troubles and was about to open the bread for them to enjoy but low and behold his money was in. They lived happily ever after.
