The widow

THE WIDOW

Once there lived a woman called Mrs. Elizabeth MacLean. She was married with twelve children. She was very kind and softhearted so everyone liked her. One day,Mrs. Elizabeth was going to the market to buy some of  the things she and her family would need.                               On her way, she was caught in a traffic. A blind man who begs people for money came to her saying “Please, can l get money to buy some food.

Unfortunately, she had taken the exact amount of money she would need. The beggar cursed Mrs. Elizabeth.

Some days later, there was a heavy rainfall which led to flooding in Turkey, where Mrs. Elizabeth and her family stayed. Mrs. Elizabeth’s house was filled with water since her house  was near a river. Mrs. Elizabeth’s husband and ten of her children died.  Since most of her property got destroyed, she had no money to perform her husband and children’s funeral rites. So, she buried them at one place.

Mrs. Elizabeth and her two children became beggars.

THE END
