This is a true story about the time I saw my mom’s doppelgänger. This happened around 6:00 or 7:00 pm and it was a school night. I was in seventh grade and my mom had just went to the store. At the time, I lived with my mom, step-dad, and step-siblings. My step-dad worked nights and my step-siblings only lived with us on the weekends, so I was home alone. Like most houses that I know of, our living room was right next to our kitchen. I was laying on one of our couches, the couch was to the side of the living room and with the way I was laying, I was facing the kitchen. There is a hallway that you can go through through the kitchen and at the end, it leads to the beginning of the living room. So, I was facing the kitchen where the hallway would start if you turn but the hallway ended where I was sitting once you turned. I was playing on my phone and I look up and see my mom pass the trash can in the kitchen and turned into the hallway. She was so lifelike that I even called out, “Mom?” She didn’t respond. I never heard either the back door or the front door open. I texted her asking her if she had gotten home and she replied saying she hadn’t. I sat silently as I remember the tale that I once thought was just a myth, doppelgängers. Considering I was at the end of the hallway, where this thing had just entered, I was spooked. Luckily, nothing happened and I didn’t see it again. My mom returned home shortly and I explained everything to her. She tried to convince me I was just seeing things. However, we moved out of that house and I brought it up again and she admits that she was also scared once she heard me tell her the story. Do you guys believe in doppelgängers?
