What is God people ask
He is one such superior force
who provides justice to the ones who seek and strength to the those who are weak
He is the one who takes care of all
One who heeds to everybody’s call
One who saves us from the troubles that befall
One whose name in the troubled times we recall
Everything good that happens to me
is all because of the Almighty
After so many times of being lucky
I thought that the Almighty was favouring me
My belief in him kept on increasing
as my frowns went on decreasing
He gave me a thousand opportunities
and ensured that I fulfilled them all with ease
I started praying to god whenever I got a chance
and once in a similar incident I went into a trance
I journeyed to the place where the gods live and woke up to see
his vision in front of me
I stood up in awe on seeing his colossal form
he was so superior and powerful but still so gentle and warm
“Lord Almighty” was all I could utter
in front of a mighty being how could I not stutter
I say, “why is the darkness spreading
and to which doom are we now heading?
Why in the same species are there so many differences
each day leading to multiple grievances
Why is someone poor? Why is someone rich?
Why are we sinking together in this pathetic ditch?
On this beautiful earth why so much terror?
How then in this flawless creation did there be error?
Wave your magic wand oh lord!
No more bloodshed can we afford”
With a smile on his face he said to me
“The only solution is to awaken humanity
In the hearts of the mankind
And how is for you to find!”
I then watch his vision fade away
Knowing now, that the magic lies within us, the mankind
I look forward to a brighter day
