” Look out! What a chance! Let’s have a trip. What an amazing jungle tour we will have1” Said Glide happily.
” Yeah. Ooh! Amazing! Let’s take advantage of the offer. ” Cried Louis. ” What about you Henry ? ”
” I am not going. I am very fine here.” Replied Henry while reading the ” Daily Rats’ Newspaper” .
” Why? Are you afraid to go? ” Said Louis , annoyed. ” Oooff!”
” You want to go …then go! Please don’t disturb me. I warn you. You really are going to fall in trouble!” Said Henry.
The two rats were angry on him and ignored him. They got their tickets and set off for the journey on the next day. They rode the bus and reached the tour agency. They boarded the jeep and were now heading towards the jungle. Meanwhile, Henry was worried as he knew there was going to be trouble.
Glide and Louis, along with the jeep driver entered the jungle. They enjoyed the beautiful greenery and wildlife of the jungle. ” That Henry! He’s going to miss all of these.” The jeep soon took them to a deeper part of the jungle. When it became dark, they decided to stop. They put out their tents in a safe place , had their dinner around the fire and then went to sleep. It had been a long and beautiful day.
6 o’clock. Glide woke up. Then he stepped out of the tent. ” Oh no !” He shrieked.
Louis woke up. ” What happened ?” He yawned. ” ”Have a look !” Glide pointed outside the tent. Louis sleepily walked out of the tent and then was shocked. The jeep driver took all their belongings, including their cell phones and food, and drove the jeep and went away. The rats were filled with terror. What will they do now?
The rats started roaming in the jungle in search of a village or a small settlement of people.
But their was none. The jungle was so huge. Neither they could escape, nor could they find any help. They felt hungry and thirsty. They survived on some wild fruits, herbs and seeds. Luckily, they found a freshwater lake and drank water from there. They settled this area for some days. They made a house out of leaves and wood. Everyday, they would go in search of people , and everyday they would return with no good news.
Then one day a cheetah came. The rats managed to escape from that area. Now they had no water to drink, no food to eat and nowhere to live. ” We should have listened to Henry, you know…. He was right. Sorry Henry! Sorry God! Forgive us save us!” Cried the two rats and folded their hands and prayed to God. ”
Louis had an idea. He made a mound of leaves and lit it up with fire. Soon, someone spotted it and came running to rescue them. It was Henry! He quickly gave them something to eat and drink and took them home. He know they needed his help and had been searching them for days. The two rats learnt their lesson. They apologized to Henry. They learnt their lesson and thereafter, always took the advice of the most intelligent and experienced ones.
