It was a bright morning. The three rats had gathered their breakfast from the fridge and were now going to enjoy it in their comfortable rat hole. Just then, someone knocked on the door. ” Who’s there ? Henry, will you please open the door.” Said Louis. ”Okay.”Replied Henry and went to open the door. There was a lizard who had come to visit them. Without letting the rats to say a single word, she came in and introduced herself ” My name is Liz Lemons. I can see plenty of food here. Are you going to enjoy it all by yourselves? Let me have a bite too.” He jumped into the chair and started eating everything. In a moment everything was finished, and the rats stood in awe. ”Yeah,I was really hungry.” Said Liz. ”Get out of here.” Shouted the three. ”Oh no! Not me. Rather you get out of the house. From today, this is going to be ‘Lizard Residence’. My family and I will live here. There’s no space for three of you.” The rats said ” Alright. But you will have to win in a card game, first. If you win, the house is yours. And if we win, the house will be ours forever.” Liz agreed to the condition and the competition was held. But, unfortunately, the rats were subdued by the lizards and had to leave their comfortable home.
Three days went by….
Then, one day ” No, no! We cannot live like this. We have to do something.” Cried Henry ”But what will we do?”
The rats discussed and planned a way to make the lizards leave their home on their own.
It was a stormy night. The lighting, heavy rain and darkness scared everyone. Suddenly, a dark shadow went through the corridor and entered the rat hole, which was now the lizard hole. And a spooky voice came ” LEEEEAAAVE…..LEEEEEEAAVE ! LET US LIVE ALONE! WE ARE THE SOULS OF THE RATS. LEAVE!” The voice was followed by loud laughs and scary sounds and scenes. From a distance, a pair of fish bones and teeth were thrown at the lizards. With horror and shock. they ran out of the house, never to be seen again. The rats were happy that their plan worked and treated themselves with cheese and muffins. Woo! What a success…..
