School life

 sat in class gazing at my crush Brody Owens, he was the most popular boy in school, who had the reputation of the school bad boy. He was also my next door neighbour. Apart from his attitude he was perfect, floppy black hair that clung to his beautiful face, big brown  eyes that shone a sparkling green colour in the sun, typical sports man body. He was most known for his fathers wealth, which helped him out greatly when he was yet again in trouble. I was patted back into reality by one of my bestfriends Lola Jones. 

“Welcome back Ellie” she smiled widely.
“Sorry. What’s up?” 
“Lunch time. I said I’d meet Harry so I’ll catch you outside soon.” 
Harry was Lola’s boyfriend. He was what everyone calls a ‘nerd’. He was lovely and it was nice to see him treat my best friend right. 

I took a seat at the dining table, I could see Brody from across the tables, laughing loudly to his mate Ryan Drew. 
“Oi, you. Can’t keep your eyes off my boyfriend can you?” Came the mind-numbingly voice of Amy Leigh. She and Brody was an on/off couple. She was horrible. 
“I dont know what your talking about.” I said simply
“I’ve just caught you staring at Brody. Let’s get one thing clear Ellie, you will never stand a chance with Brody. Let’s face it why would he want you when he has someone like me?” 
“More fool him for wanting someone like you.” I grabbed my bag and walked off with a smile on my face. 
I walked out into the corridor to find my other best friend  Zoe Peterson locking lips with her new boyfriend Dean Chambers. He too like Brody was on the school football team, they were good friends. 
“Hey babe.” Zoe smiled as she let go of Dean.
“Hey, have you seen Lola?” 
“Not recently.” 
“I saw her heading outside with that nerd who won’t leave her alone.” Dean chipped in. Just like Brody he had terrible attitude. 
“He’s not a nerd actually. if you gave him a chance you’d see how lovely he is.” I tutted.
“Whoa sorry I didnt mean to upset you.” 
“You didn’t. I’ll catch you later Zoe.” 

Finally the bell rang, I walked home on my own, Brody was sat on the wall outside his mothers house with a cigarette in his hand. 
“Ellie isn’t it?” He said. 
(O.h. m.y. g.o.d Brody Owens knows my name!) 
“Umm.. Yes.” 
“I heard that you think I’m a fool” 
“Excuse me?” 
“You think I’m a fool for going out with Amy” 
“Well yes. I’m sorry but she’s a nasty piece of work.” 
“I’m glad I’m not the only one to think that.”
“Isn’t she your girlfriend?” 
“Ex girlfriend. what you doing sweety?” 
(Sweety? Omg what is happening??) 
“Said I’d look after my sister for a few hours.” 
“Want some company?” 
“You want to babysit with me?” 
“Sure, why not?” 
“is this some kind of joke?” I asked
“Why would this be a joke?” 
“Well I’ve lived next door to you for years, been to school together for years and you’ve never even looked at me never mind talk to me” 
“I heard you telling Dean off today, it surprised me. it was very hot to watch.” 
“It was?” 
“Oh yes. not many people stand up to us popular ones like that. Come on let’s go baby sit.”
