Latasha wants to hang out!?
I really want tips but Tom would look down on me, I go outside And Tom is smiling,
“who is it? Why do you look so down”
I summon up the courage, and tell Tom
“I need your help”
I show him the message embarrassed and he laughs
“Hahaha, don’t worry”
He says as he puts his arm around my nervous frame.
“With me, I could get you with her asap”
Then I just take him up on that advice,
I told carla that I wanted to hang our(without mentioning she is going to be a practice date)
and she agrees with a cute emoji (a cat smiling)
And then I end up meeting her that Sunday afternoon,
She is waiting for me at the mall food court and when i show up She is looking at me with a shocked expression
* I got my fresh clean haircut, some dress pants and a nice shirt covered by a cool jacked with some expensive cologne he let me borrow*
Although I feel embarrassed dressing up in clothes I don’t usually wear, and let Tom decide my clothing and she laughs
“You look good, but why are you wearing toms clothes”
I get embarrassed
And she cheers me up saying
“I was just kidding”
I am so nervous right now, and the clothes aren’t helping because I don’t dress like this and I’m getting self conscious, but we hang out.
She tells me
“Lets watch a Christmas movie!”
Then we get in line for the movies and then they were offering cute little keychains for couples and then I look at Carla but she seemed like she really wanted them for some reason.
I ask her
“Umm, if you want them We could”
I get nervous and can’t finish my sentence
Then she looks at me confused
“What was that?”
This makes it worse because saying it again even though I never actually said it would make the feeling even stronger…
“Lets get the keychain!”
Did I really scream!? I probably look like an idiot but then she starts laughing at me.
She says
“Yeah if you want it so bad?”
Then I reply
“You look like you want it though?”
Then she smiles saying yes grabbing my hand and we walk over to the booth after getting out tickets and they told us to prove we were a couple, (which is just a kiss in the photo booth and handing them the photo for their Christmas couple montage)
We get in the booth and there’s a button in front of the screen, and a camera in front of us,
I tell her
“Are you ready?”
And she says
“Y…yeah”
I push the button and the 5 second countdown begins but I can’t bring myself to do it, I look at Carla and she isn’t looking my direction either…
Crap 2 seconds left, I look down on the ground realizing how pathetic I am, and then I hear a beep, but what surprised me more was my cheek…
Our picture came out and she looks at it and says
“I want a copy!”
The screen then shows a payment option
“If you want a copy, please insert a dollar”
She gets a dollar and pays for it… Then we head to the booth and lady at the table just says
” you guys look like a good couple!”
With a smile, and I am nervous, at least carla is happy…
She told me she liked me last month, but I never recirpocrated her feelings, we were best friends but ever since j was unable to get the mood we used to have, but she seems okay with it, I just feel guilty having this good mood with Carla going on while telling latasha we could hang out Monday after school, which she agreed to…
Anyways we go to the movie, and Carla grabs onto my arm saying
“Come on let’s go”
And I smile saying yeah, then we sit down in the theatres and the movie starts…
I am sitting in my chair and this movie is really good, I take a glimpse of Carla and notice her hair tied up, with her choice of clothes today and what’s more interesting is that smile on her face as she is watching the movie, and her serious face and about to cry face she has… The movie ends and we talk about it, then we walk around and I buy her lots of stuff because I felt bad, although i felt worse every time she accepts my gifts with a smile and a hug…
Especially this weird looking teddy bear, that she took a liking to at this goth store.
We then sit outside on the couches looking at the fountain and I finally get the courage to say
“I’m sorry Carla, I asked you out because I wanted a practice date with Latasha”
Then she looks at me and says
“What!? You were using me!?”
Then I get a little nervous and say
“No,”
Then she looks at me
“No?”
I feel bad and she says
” close your eyes, I’m going to hit you”
I say
“Do it”
As I close my eyes, I have my eyes closed and I am flinching because I am imagining the hit, and when it doesn’t happen I imagine her laugh at me as I look scared.
Then I feel a peck on my cheek, and then open one eye and she is smiling,
And then slaps me with the weird looking teddy bear.
She says
“Don’t worry, because you chose to go on a date with me before latasha. That means i have a chance right?”
I’m like what?
Then she hugs me, I say
“Thanks Carla, ” we then sit back down and talk about each other, and our favorite books and shows”
I really like being around her, and think we would make a good couple but my eyes are going to stay on Latasha,…..
